Op het Al Amana College hechten we grote waarde aan het welzijn en de tevredenheid van onze leerlingen. Ons doel is ervoor te zorgen dat ieder kind zich thuis voelt en elke dag met plezier naar school gaat. Om dit te bewerkstelligen, streven we naar een positieve en respectvolle sfeer, zowel binnen het docententeam als in de klas en daarbuiten.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_accordion_item_1 et_pb_accordion_item et_pb_toggle et_pb_module et_pb_toggle_close et_block_module\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Onderbouw\/ bovenbouw<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content\"><p>Onderbouw<\/p>\n<p>In de onderbouw werken wij met brede, heterogene groepen. Leerlingen met een mavo- Havo of VWO-advies zitten bij elkaar in de klas. Zo krijgen zij de tijd en ruimte om hun talenten te ontdekken en te onderzoeken welk niveau het beste bij hen past. De overgangsregeling bepaalt wanneer een leerling doorstroomt naar het volgende leerjaar.<\/p>\n<p>Bovenbouw<\/p>\n<p>In de bovenbouw bereiden we leerlingen stap voor stap voor op hun examen. Zij maken het schoolexamen (SE) en sluiten af met het Centraal Examen (CE). Het Programma van Toetsing en Afsluiting (PTA) staat aan het begin van het schooljaar klaar en is altijd terug te vinden op onze website.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_accordion_item_2 et_pb_accordion_item et_pb_toggle et_pb_module et_pb_toggle_close et_block_module\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Extra ondersteuning<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content\"><p>Binnen het Al Amana College is er een ondersteuningsstructuur die erop is gericht de leerlingen vanuit hun onderwijs- en ondersteuningsbehoeften op een zo passend mogelijke manier te begeleiden. Dit doen we door een sterke basisondersteuning neer te zetten en daarbovenop, voor wie dit nodig is, extra ondersteuning aan te bieden. Per kind is er zicht op ontwikkeling en wordt gekeken naar hoe het onderwijs en de begeleiding vormgegeven dient te worden. Alles met het doel om de leerlingen met een goed gevulde rugzak uit te laten stromen, waarbij ze voldoende voorbereid zijn om een positieve bijdrage te leveren aan de samenleving en om hun plek in de maatschappij te verwerven.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_accordion_item_3 et_pb_accordion_item et_pb_toggle et_pb_module et_pb_toggle_close et_block_module\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Mentorraad<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content\"><p>Bij Al Amana College vinden we het belangrijk dat elke leerling zich gezien en begeleid voelt. Daarom starten we de meeste dagen met de mentoraad: een vast moment van een half uur aan het begin van de dag, van maandag tot en met donderdag, tijdens het eerste lesuur.<br \/>\nTijdens de mentoraad bespreekt de mentor samen met de klas de planning van de week, studievoortgang, gedrag en sociale onderwerpen. Het is ook een moment voor persoonlijke aandacht: leerlingen kunnen vragen stellen, successen delen of aangeven waar ze tegenaan lopen.<br \/>\nDaarnaast wordt de mentoraad gebruikt om belangrijke mededelingen te doen, activiteiten voor te bereiden en aandacht te besteden aan thema\u2019s zoals samenwerken, respect en verantwoordelijk gedrag.<br \/>\nOp deze manier vormt de mentoraad een rustpunt in de week en draagt het bij aan een positief en veilig schoolklimaat, waarin elke leerling zich optimaal kan ontwikkelen \u2014 zowel op school als persoonlijk.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_accordion_item_4 et_pb_accordion_item et_pb_toggle et_pb_module et_pb_toggle_close et_block_module\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Burgerschap<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content\"><p>Burgerschap is in ons onderwijs volop aanwezig. Voor leerlingen is de school een oefenplaats voor democratie en het omgaan met diversiteit. Leerlingen leren hoe ze actief kunnen meedoen in een democratische cultuur. Soms gebeurt dit heel letterlijk en participeren leerlingen in leerlingenpanels, leerlingenraad en medezeggenschapsraad. Leerlingen leren zo over besluitvormingsprocessen en de invloed die zij hierop kunnen uitoefenen, passend bij hun situatie en mogelijkheden. Burgerschap daagt leerlingen ook uit om verbanden te leggen tussen hun eigen leefwerelden en grotere maatschappelijke vraagstukken als globalisering, duurzaamheid en klimaatverandering, en de invloed van technologie en media. Leerlingen leren kritisch na te denken en te reflecteren op complexe, vaak ethisch geladen vraagstukken. Zij leren in gesprek te gaan met anderen en elkaars standpunten te bevragen. Zo ontwikkelen zij hun eigen opvattingen.<\/p>\n<p>Een aantal aspecten van burgerschapsonderwijs komt wel aan bod in vak- en vormingsgebieden, zoals discussi\u00ebren bij taallessen, kennismaken met (andere) culturen bij geschiedenis, maatschappijleer en levensbeschouwing, leren over de rol van media bij maatschappijleer en maatschappelijke normen en waarden. Op deze manier willen wij de kinderen helpen zich te ontwikkelen tot kritische democratische burgers.<\/p>\n<p>Vanuit onze visie hebben wij een selectie gemaakt van enkele belangrijke uitgangspunten:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Het onderwijs is erop gericht dat alle leerlingen zich te allen tijde\u00a0<strong>veilig en geaccepteerd<\/strong>weten op school.<\/li>\n<li>Het onderwijs is erop gericht de leerlingen\u00a0<strong>respect voor de menselijke waardigheid<\/strong>mee te geven, waarbij onderlinge verschillen, op welk gebied dan ook, gezien worden als een verrijking, en niet als een probleem.<\/li>\n<li>Het onderwijs is erop gericht de leerlingen zich te laten ontwikkelen in\u00a0<strong>kritisch (-democratisch) denken<\/strong>en niet opportunistisch te zijn of te bezwijken onder sociale druk.*<\/li>\n<li>Het onderwijs is erop gericht dat de leerlingen weerbaar zijn, en zelfbeheersing en geduld oefenen bij het omgaan met beledigingen en beschimpingen, in de wetenschap dat Nederland diverser is dan alleen de islamitische geloofsopvatting en dat deze diversiteit mag en moet bestaan, en dat leerlingen leren dit op een democratische manier bespreekbaar te maken.<\/li>\n<li>Binnen het onderwijs ontwikkelen de leerlingen\u00a0<strong>kennis, vaardigheden en houdingen<\/strong>waarmee zij conflicten op een vreedzame en rechtvaardige wijze kunnen oplossen, zowel hun eigen conflicten of, als mediator, wanneer een conflict optreedt in hun naaste omgeving.<\/li>\n<li>Het onderwijs is erop gericht dat leerlingen om leren gaan met een samenleving waarin\u00a0<strong>informatie<\/strong>altijd voorhanden is. De leerlingen worden weerbaar gemaakt tegen de negatieve kanten van deze informatie zoals be\u00efnvloeding, nepnieuws en complottheorie\u00ebn. Leerlingen wordt aldus geleerd mediawijs gedrag te vertonen.<\/li>\n<li>Het onderwijs is erop gericht om de leerlingen\u00a0<strong>actief te laten oefenen met de basiswaarden<\/strong>en met eventuele botsingen tussen de verschillende basiswaarden.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>De wet gaat uit van de basiswaarden vrijheid, gelijkheid en solidariteit, die in het toezichtskader van de Inspectie van het Onderwijs zijn uitgewerkt tot acht basiswaarden van de democratische rechtsstaat. Deze zijn:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Vrijheid van meningsuiting<\/li>\n<li>Gelijkwaardigheid<\/li>\n<li>Begrip voor anderen<\/li>\n<li>Verdraagzaamheid<\/li>\n<li>Autonomie<\/li>\n<li>Afwijzen van onverdraagzaamheid<\/li>\n<li>Afwijzen van discriminatie<\/li>\n<li>Verantwoordelijkheidsbesef<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>We verwerken deze acht basiswaarden in onze doorlopende leerlijnen burgerschap en onze schoolcultuur.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_accordion_item_5 et_pb_accordion_item et_pb_toggle et_pb_module et_pb_toggle_close et_block_module\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Gezonde School<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content\"><p>Bij Al Amana College vinden we het belangrijk dat leerlingen niet alleen goed leren, maar zich ook goed voelen. Daarom zijn we een Gezonde School: een school waar we samen werken aan een gezonde leefstijl, in lichaam \u00e9n geest.<br \/>\nWe stimuleren gezonde keuzes \u2014 van wat je eet en drinkt tot hoe je beweegt en met elkaar omgaat. In de kantine en tijdens pauzes vind je gezonde alternatieven, en we praten in mentorlessen over thema\u2019s als voeding, beweging, slaap en welzijn.<br \/>\nDaarnaast besteden we aandacht aan een positieve en veilige schoolomgeving. We leren leerlingen hoe ze respectvol met elkaar omgaan, elkaar kunnen steunen en grenzen mogen aangeven. Een gezonde school is immers niet alleen een plek zonder ongezonde snacks, maar vooral een plek waar iedereen zich veilig, energiek en gezien voelt.<br \/>\nMet kleine stappen en gezamenlijke afspraken zorgen we er samen voor dat iedereen zich prettig voelt op school \u2014 elke dag weer.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_accordion_item_6 et_pb_accordion_item et_pb_toggle et_pb_module et_pb_toggle_close et_block_module\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Positive Behaviour Support<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content\"><p>Het Al Amana College streeft naar een veilig schoolklimaat waarin onderwijs, zorg en begeleiding zijn afgestemd op de behoeften van de leerlingen. In het schoolveiligheidsplan en het anti-pestprotocol wordt beschreven hoe de school zowel fysiek als sociaal veilig blijft. Ook implementeert de school Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support (PBS) om een positieve, ondersteunende en voorspelbare omgeving te cre\u00ebren, wat bijdraagt aan een bevorderlijk pedagogisch klimaat. PBS is gericht op het stimuleren van gewenst gedrag en het verminderen van problematisch gedrag bij leerlingen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ouderraad en MR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bij Al Amana College spelen ouders\/verzorgers een actieve rol in de schoolgemeenschap. De ouderraad bestaat uit ouders uit verschillende leerjaren en komt ongeveer acht keer per jaar bijeen. Samen met de schooldirectie bespreekt zij onderwerpen zoals veiligheid, thema-avonden en ouderbetrokkenheid. <br \/>Daarnaast is er de medezeggenschapsraad (MR), waarin ouders, leerlingen en personeelsleden samen met de schoolleiding leiding geven aan belangrijke besluiten over formatie, begroting en kwaliteit van het onderwijs. <br \/>Op die manier bevorderen we samenwerking tussen ouders en school, betrekken we ouders actief en zorgen we ervoor dat het beleid en de schoolorganisatie aansluiten bij de behoeften van leerlingen en hun thuisomgeving.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_section_2 et_pb_section et_section_regular et_block_section\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_2 et_pb_row et_pb_gutters2 et_block_row\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_4 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_tabs_0 et_pb_tabs et_pb_module\"><ul class=\"et_pb_tabs_controls clearfix\"><li class=\"et_pb_tab_nav_item_0 et_pb_tab_nav_item et_pb_tab_0 et_pb_tab_active\"><a class=\"et_pb_tab_nav_item_link\" href=\"#\">Schoolniveaus<\/a><\/li><li class=\"et_pb_tab_nav_item_1 et_pb_tab_nav_item et_pb_tab_1\"><a class=\"et_pb_tab_nav_item_link\" href=\"#\">Brede brugklas<\/a><\/li><li class=\"et_pb_tab_nav_item_2 et_pb_tab_nav_item et_pb_tab_2\"><a class=\"et_pb_tab_nav_item_link\" href=\"#\">Extra aanbod<\/a><\/li><\/ul><div class=\"et_pb_all_tabs\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_tab_0 et_pb_tab clearfix et_pb_active_content et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_tab_content\"><div class=\"heading-primary-wrap\">\n<p>Op het Al Amana College bieden we drie verschillende schoolniveaus aan:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mavo (vmbo-tl)<\/strong><br \/>De mavo (vmbo-tl) is een vierjarige leerroute voor leerlingen met een theoretische leerstijl. Leerlingen worden voorbereid op het mbo en de havo. Leerlingen volgen zes algemene vakken, zoals aardrijkskunde en talen, en ontwikkelen zowel praktische vaardigheden als digitale competenties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Havo<\/strong><br \/>De havo is een vijfjarig programma dat leerlingen klaarstoomt voor het hbo. De eerste drie jaar bieden een brede basis van diverse vakken. Na de onderbouw kunnen leerlingen naar een mbo-vakopleiding of de havo-bovenbouw, waar ze een profiel kiezen, zoals natuur &amp; techniek of economie. Naast ontwikkeling van kennis, versterkt de havo samenwerking, presentatievaardigheden en probleemoplossing. Het biedt mogelijkheden tot doorstroming naar vwo of hbo-opleidingen, afhankelijk van de resultaten en ambities van de leerling.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vwo<\/strong><br \/>Het vwo is een zesjarig programma dat brede kennis en kritisch-analytisch denken ontwikkelt. Met een vwo-diploma kunnen leerlingen naar de universiteit of het hbo. De eerste drie jaar van het vwo bieden basiskennis, waarna leerlingen kiezen uit profielen zoals natuur &amp; techniek of economie &amp; maatschappij. Het vwo stimuleert het verleggen van grenzen en ontwikkelen van een kritische denkhouding, cruciaal in de moderne wereld.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_tab_1 et_pb_tab clearfix et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_tab_content\"><p><strong>Op het Al Amana College begrijpen we dat elk kind zich op zijn eigen tempo ontwikkelt. Hoewel leerlingen een niveau-advies meekrijgen van de basisschool, zijn ze na groep 8 nog volop in ontwikkeling. Daarom bieden wij een tweejarige brede brugklas aan. Hier krijgen leerlingen de kans om te groeien en te ontdekken welk schoolniveau het beste bij hen past, of het nu mavo, havo of vwo is.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tegengaan van kansenongelijkheid<\/strong><br \/>Onze brugklasperiode duurt twee schooljaren en heeft als doel kansenongelijkheid tegen te gaan. In de brede brugklassen van klas 1 en klas 2 worden leerlingen met vergelijkbare schooladviezen bij elkaar geplaatst, zodat ze gedurende de brugperiode samenblijven. Aan het einde van het eerste jaar ontvangen de leerlingen advies over het meest geschikte niveau voor het tweede leerjaar, gebaseerd op rapporten, het leerlingvolgsysteem en gesprekken tussen mentoren, leerlingen en ouders. Aan het einde van het tweede leerjaar bepalen we welk categoriaal niveau het beste past bij de leerlingen.<br \/>Let op: voor leerlingen met een vwo-advies bieden we vanaf het eerste leerjaar een aparte vwo-klas aan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exelleren op eigen niveau<\/strong><br \/>Ongeacht het niveau verwachten we van alle leerlingen een actieve werkhouding en sterke motivatie. Zo geven we iedere leerling de ruimte om zich te ontwikkelen en op zijn eigen niveau te excelleren!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_tab_2 et_pb_tab clearfix et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_tab_content\"><p><strong>Op het Al Amana College gaan we verder dan alleen het reguliere curriculum om onze leerlingen een verrijkende onderwijservaring te bieden. Naast de kernvakken bieden we twee extra vakken die onze identiteit weerspiegelen en onze leerlingen voorbereiden op een diverse wereld.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Levensbeschouwing<\/strong><br \/>Op het Al Amana College nemen godsdienstlessen een speciale plek in waarin veel aandacht wordt besteed aan de Koran, de soenna en de daaruit voortvloeiende normen en waarden. We vinden het belangrijk dat onze leerlingen een diepgaand begrip van hun geloof ontwikkelen en deze waarden in hun dagelijks leven kunnen toepassen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arabisch en Turks<\/strong><br \/>Naast het reguliere taalaanbod bieden we onze leerlingen de mogelijkheid om extra talen te leren, zoals het Arabisch* en Turks. Deze keuze benadrukt de culturele en taalkundige diversiteit van onze school, en helpt leerlingen om hun taalvaardigheden te verbreden. Het aanleren van deze talen draagt bij aan een verrijkte leerervaring en bereidt onze leerlingen voor op een multiculturele samenleving.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keuzewerktijd<\/strong><br \/>Op het Al Amana College staan er wekelijks ook vier keuzewerktijduren op het rooster. Deze uren zijn bedoeld voor ondersteuning, verdieping en\/of verbreding in de vakken waar leerlingen zelf de keuze maken, soms met behulp van de mentor en ouders\/verzorgers.
